Abstract

Upton Sinclair (1878-1968) was a prolific author and 1934 California gubernatorial candidate, most notably known for his “muckraking” novel The Jungle (1906) and Oil! (1926). This collection is comprised of materials by and about Sinclair, including cataloged books both in English and foreign translation, periodical materials, newspaper clippings, bibliographies, letters, photographs and various ephemera.
