Mullin Sculpture Studio, 1996
Scope and Contents
Documents the planning, development, and transformation of Occidental College’s Eagle Rock campus from its opening in 1914 to the present. It includes materials related to academic and administrative buildings, athletic facilities, residence halls, and campus infrastructure. Items such as photographs, architectural drawings, blueprints, and commemorative histories illustrate the evolution of the built environment and its relationship to the college’s educational mission.

Biographical / Historical
This sculpture studio, gallery, and workshop facility was erected in 1997 with primary funding by Peter Mullin, Occidental College trustee.
A native of South Pasadena, Mr. Mullin received the Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara. In 1969, he founded his Los Angeles company, Mullin Consulting, Inc., specializing in executive compensation and benefit issues. He is also the founder of Strategic Compensation Associates and over the years has provided consultation for numerous firms in a variety of industries.
Mr. Mullin, a member of the Occidental Board of Trustees since 1984, served as chair for two terms. Among a number of other educational and cultural institutions where he has been a board member are the California Institute of Technology, the UCLA Foundation, the Huntington Library, and the Music Center of Los Angeles County.
